Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

from a six or even eight-wheeler up to a lOm artic mixer. But judging by what CMis hearing, the ready-mix market players are looking very seriously at the concept. Productivty figures alone show the artic to be more beneficial for the operator and any given 1/dUrTle S going to take fewer trips.

While we doubt that an artic mixer will ever replace the humble six-wheeler, if you can overcome problems of site access on and off-road it certainly looks an extremely attractive proposition for major jobs such as the Terminal Five project at Heathrow, where the task is to deliver large amounts of concrete to one place in a hurry.

Hymix clearly sees potential for its mixer trailer and so do we. The Dennison sliding-bogie chassis looks a good bet for maximising manoeuvrability, while retaining that 44-tonne gross weight.

On the downside, investing in a separate mixer trailer and the right 6x4 tractor is hardly small beer. You'll also need to find Class 1 drivers with mixer experience, who will naturally expect more money for driving an artic too assuming they want to do it in the first place.

However, for those operators who need to think big in the readymix concrete arena, there's no doubt that Hymix's artic mixer stands out as the obvious answer.
