• Non-union lorry drivers reporting to London docks from now on may be turned away by dockers. The reason for this lies in the concern of the Transport and General Workers' Union at losses in membership in recent months. It is believed that the dockers themselves may also be required to produce a union card, though not necessarily to prove membership of the TGWU.
