A Dennis apprentice has an unusual maintenance task facing him later this year. Twenty-year-old James Hughes has been selected to join the Cambridge University Geological Expedition to Spitzbergen from June to September and will act as maintenance engineer for the party. He is one of two "outsiders" chosen, the rest being undergraduates.
