PRICED at £115 in priming colour, an example of the, attractive new 5-7-cwt. van, which has been entirely redesigned, for , 1936, occupies , this stand. The carrying capacity has been increased as regards both weight and bulk, the .body, space available now being 65 cubic ft.
With vibro-damper ' mounting, the four-cylindered engine has a bore of 60 mm. and a stroke of 86 mm., giving a capacity of 972 c.c. and an R.A.C. rating of 8.93 h.p. The detachable combustion head carries the valves, whilst the pistons are of special aluminium-alloy drilled to promote oil economy, in conjunction with a patented design of scraper ring. The gudgeon pins are equipped with pads.

The worm-and-nut steering gear is of a new patented type. Lockheed hydraulic brakes take effect on .all four wheels, the hand brake. operating independently on the rear wheels.. The frame is underslung at the rear, whilst springs are fitted to suit the particular purposes of the trade for which the van is intended. Friction-type shock absorbers are incorporated in both the front and rear suspension systems.
The wide doors of the driver's cab make for that ease of entry and exit which is so desirable in vehicles en gaged on local delivery work. The body panels are of aluminium, boarded inside to waist level, whilst side louvres ensure ventilation for perishable goods.—Singer and Co., Ltd., Coventry..
