Bus Company timetable clerk discovered recently when Blackwood (Gwent) magistrates sent him down recently for two months for "carrying out hoaxes by deception".
It appears that love-sick Tim Worel's ardent wooing of girl-friend Tracy had been threatened by bus connection times. Worel persuaded bus drivers on "her" route to speed up and get ahead of their schedules, much to the annoyance of the local populace who took a dim view of their buses thundering past them when they were half way to their bus stops.
All went well for the two lovers until Inspector Richie Young discovered the ruse and warned Word l about his conduct, etc.
As a result, seven tonnes of manure, three tonnes of anthracite, a lorry-load of ready mixed cement, a gas leak emergency team, an undertaker, a scrap merchant and people answering an advertisement for the sale of the inspector's car, turned up on his doorstep!
Mr Worel is now in gaol.
