WEST MIDLANDS PTE has ordered 100 Metrobus Mark Ils worth Vm from Metro-Cammell Weymann. They will be manufactured at Washwood Heath works and delivery will commence in 1985.

This latest order is a continuation of a contract worth nearly £30 million for 425 Metrobuses placed with MCW by the Executive in 1981 and which is now nearing completion.

With the completion of the new order for 100 buses there will be a total of 981 Metrobuses in the Executive's total fleet of 2,200 buses, including 14 supplied for its new Guided Bus Pilot Project.
