• The National Bus Company has appointed two finance directors.
David Simon assumes the finance role of the new NBC subsidiary, Northumbria Motor Services, which takes over the operations of United Automobile Services in the Northumberland area from September 7.
Simon's appointment — he joins the company from Tyne and Wear Transport — completes Northumbria's senior management team.
Giles Fearnley joins West Yorkshire Road Car, based at Harrogate, as finance director and board member. Since joining the NBC at Southdown in 1976 he has held posts of cost accountant and management accountant at Northern General. Prior to joining West Yorkshire he was with East Yorkshire Motor Services.
