Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

t NEW diesel-powered light van range will be announced by VECO early next year, probably at Amsterdam in February.

Covering the 2.7 to 4.2onne-gvw range, the new rans will use engines built at he Sofim factory at Foggia in taly which is jointly owned by ,.1fa Romeo, Fiat and Saviem.

As Saviem is at the moment uilding a new factory at it would be reasonable suppose that the Saviem ersion will follow shortly.

Initially, Fiat will be ringing in a 3.5-tonne gvw iodel only. This will be availble in chassis-cab or integral an form with wheelbase optms of 2.8, 3.2 and 3.6m (9ft in, 10ft 6in and lift 10in).

The Sain engine is of 2.5 tres (152cuin) capacity, and it unusual in that it is an inirect injection design which roduces 54 kW (72bhp) at 20Orpm.

Going to indirect injection is resumably on noise and mission grounds as the Sofim ngine will also be available on option in the Fiat 131 car.

A four-speed synchromesh gearbox will be used on the new Fiat.

Fiat's partner in IVECO, Magirus Deutz, has no plans whatever to bring the new range into the UK.

Although announced for Europe early next year, it is unlikely that the new Fiat will appear in this country until late 1978.
