• The Scottish deputy LA, Mr. L. A. Wells, adjourned a hearing in Glasgow on Tuesday to give the applicant the opportunity to clear anomalies in its application. Mr. D. S. Dalgleish, representing Transaction Ltd., requested the adjournment after the LA discovered that the company had been operating illegally between May and November 1967.
The evidence of illegality was given by Mr. D. S. Duckering, a director of Transaction, and showed that one vehicle had been operated under contract while unlicensed. The LA considered that further evidence should be withheld until this matter had been resolved. It was agreed that the public inquiry would continue on about March 6.
The application was for a new A licence for six vehicles.
