Older readers of CM will recall Press stories in the 30s describing the real or imaginary doings of the politically powerful Cliveden Set. Now, it is said, our three largest trade unions (TGWU, AEU and N1JGMW) are planning jointly to establish a new educational centre at Cliveden.
Good news, if true. I can't wait for the day when the famous riverside lawns hum with shop stewards' proposals for productivity deals for busmen and lorry drivers.
