• The Aberdeen haulage firm of J. G. Barrack has been acquired by a North Sea oil service company — Seaforth Maritime Ltd — for an undisclosed sum.
Under the deal Seaforth Maritime acquires 40 heavy lorries, 40 trailers, a number of cranes and other heavy plant as well as Barrack's main depot and offices at Canal Road, Aberdeen, and subsidiary depots in Glow, Manchester, and New Pitsligo, Aberdeenshire.
