* Is weight or volume the limiting factor for your loads? What payload capacity/cubic capacity is your minimum requirement?
* Are the manoeuvrability and traction of the chosen vehicle sufficient for the premises/sites it will visit?
* Does the spec avoid features about which you or your drivers have complained in the past? (Driver acceptance is a spec factor of growing importance.) * Will the axle weight limits leave some loading tolerance and avoid a "dead-split" of the plated gvw?
* Will the body design allow for quick turn-round of the vehicle, and some flexibility if traffic patterns alter?
* Have you ensured that items such as tyres, filters, couplings (if any) are the best suited to your particular operation?
* Is the vehicle man enough for the job? Never under-specify.
