• Two immediate prohibitions in a year led South Eastern and Metropolitan LA Brigadier Michael Turner to the cut the duration of the licence held by Paul de Rosa of Stratford, London. It will now expire at the end of October 1996. Vehicle exam iner William John said that an inspection last August led to the imposition of an immediate prohibition for a defective offside rear brake. A warning letter had been issued following an immediate prohibition in September 1993.
Turner suggested that de Rosa should change his maintenance contractor. The LA said he took a serious view of the faults found, especially as de Rosa was operating in such a congested area. Given de Rosa's good record prior to 1993, he felt that revocation would be too severe, while another warning would be too lenient.
