have now formed themselves into a group to be officially known as the Yorkshire Tipping Group. As exclusively forecast in The Commercial Motor on May 14, the group has received guidance from the Tees-side Tipping Vehicle Group who have been active in trying to establish a minimum rates schedule for a number of months.
Mr. J. H. Tait (Taits Transport, York) is the chairman, and the secretary is Mr. J. A. Dewar, of 83 Knox Avenue, Harrogate (tel.: Harrogate 5683).
The aim of the new Group is to establish an adequate operating rate: the help of the Licensing Authority is being sought to ,help stamp out illegal operations. The Group was due, to .hold. its second meeting on Wednesday.
