£350,000 Bus Contracts from British Operators

MORE than £350,000 worth of contracts have been secured by Leyland Motors Ltd. from eight bus companies in England and Wales. The largest is from Western Welsh Omnibus Co. Ltd., who have ordered 40 Tiger Cub single-deckers worth nearly £100,000. They are closely followed by Southdown Motor Services Ltd., who have placed a repeat order for a further 30 Titan PD3.4 double-deckers also valued at nearly £100,000.
Other contracts have come from Black and White Motorways for 10 Leopard PSU3.3 single-deck coaches; Wigan Corporation for six Titan PD2.37 double-deckers and two Panther Cub single-deckers; St. Helens Corporation for six Titan PD2A.27 models, and West Hartlepool Corporation for five Leopard Li single-deckers. Meanwhile it is known that Chesterfield Corporation is ordering 10 Panther chassis costing £29,365, to be delivered during 1967.
