AIf the trailer you have in mind is a Scammell, which British Railways operate on a large scale, kits are available from this trailer manufacturer which when fitted will enable the trailers to meet the new regulations due to come into effect on January 1. It should be borne in mind that the tractive units will also be required to be modified, assuming that this has not already been done.
Regarding plating, when the scheme starts at the beginning of 1968, the oldest vehicles will be called in first and the gross weight and axle weight plating will be carried out.
