• Renault UK aims to boost sales of its light vans with a package of specification improvements marketed as Enterprise 2.
The move affects selected Extra and Trafic models; both products are facing very strong competition from rival manufacturers.
The Enterprise 2 1.6-litre diesel Extra comes with central locking, a rubber cover for the loadbed, a radio-cassette player, an overhead storage rack and new trim for the wheels and seats.
The rest of the equipment is in line with Prima specifications: the package is priced at £6,340 (ex-VAT).
The Enterprise 2 1.9-litre diesel Extra comes with similar specification but is based on the standard Extra. Central locking, rubber cargo floor cover and distinctive wheel and seat trims are added, along with a rear roof flap for long loads. The rest of the equipment is in line with standard Extra trim. This model costs 17,420 (ex-VAT).
Three Prima variants of the Trafic have been given the Enterprise 2 treatment. They are the short-wheelbase petrol T1100 and the SWB diesel T900D and T1100D.
With these vans the emphasis is on cargo area protection. They receive a wooden load floor cover with protective panels for the cargo area sidewalls. The package also includes load lashing bars; cab comfort is enhanced by cushioned headrests and improved seat trims. Prices (ex-VAT) are: T900D SWB, £8,525; T1100 SWB, £8,045; T1100D SWB, .£9,025.
