Mr. Alejandro Bibolini, the Paraguayan delegate to 'the recent PanAmerican Highway Commission, has declared that road improvement in Paraguay has enabled better prices to be secured for leeal crops. He quoted one instance of a, short stretch of road being built recently whereby a considerable crop of cotton was g moved to market without the slightest delay, resulting-in good prices being obtained bee the producer. Before this road was constructed tfie cotton generally came in too fate to enable 4he. .advantage 4J high early season prices to be.resped. Two trunk roads have now been planned that will make it possible to get crops oreoffee and other products to market with equal promptness. With the opening of these roads will ultimately come. the introduction of the motor lorry to replace the slow-moving and road-destroying ox-carts that have hitherto been used in Paraguay.
