• A 36 page booklet describing in simply understood language the new drivers' hours regulations as applying to psv drivers. was sent to its members by the Passenger Vehicle Operators Association last week. It is divided into four sections—explanation and definition of terms used; the new legal limit; exceptions; enforcement.
Three appendices are included, the first being the actual wording of the relevant sections of the Transport Act, 1968 with the 1970 modifications and exemptions inserted. The second is the reprint of the "Drivers' Hours (Passenger Vehicles) (Exemptions) Regulations 1970", and the third shows the layout of a form which the Asociation recommends for bus and coach operators to use to record their drivers' hours and help them to comply with regulations.
