Amongst our pages of advertisements will be found an interesting announcement by the Whittington Trust, Ltd., this being to the effect that it is prepared to finance goods-transport concerns. Such a move shows a satisfactory degree of confidence in this very important branch of the commercial-motor indinstry, and it is a new step, advantage of which will no doubt be taken by wellmanaged concerns with good prospects but little working capital.
The Whittington Trust has an issued capital of £75,000, the directors being Mr. Julian D. Marks, Mr. George W. Kettle and Sir Frank Crisp, Bart. Mr. Marks is also chairman and managing director of Staveley Trust, Ltd., which has an issued capital of £253,000, the other directors of this being Colonel Frank P. Braithwaite, Mr. John Crisp and the Hon. Cecil Campbell. The offices are at Pinner's Hall, Austin Friars, London, E.C.2.
