A 60/65W twin-filament tungsten-halogen bulb for car headlamps, giving a wide concentrated beam of high power, has been introduced by Osram (GEC) Ltd.
Twin axial filaments give a more concentrated and powerful main beam, and on dipped beam a metal shield incorporated in the bulb helps reduce glare to oncoming traffic and give better side light. To obtain the full benefits of light and control, the manufacturer recommends the bulb should be used only in fittings specifically designed for the new Osram 12V 60/65W twin-filament tungsten-halogen bulb—No. 463.
