Cummins lingers in Tector

The lector is assembled by Iveco in Turin, but this isn't the whole story: the engine actually has Its roots in Cummins' BSeries, and is the result of the European Engine Alliance (EEA) between Weal, Cummins and New Holland. The upshot is that a very closely related engine is offered In the Cargo's sternest competitor, Daf's LF45.
However, there are enough differences for the marketing men to chew on: Daf's Paccar-badged "170hp" Cummins has some different components and produces a couple of horsepower less than Iveco's Tector, and it produces its peak torque over a narrower rev band. The most obvious difference is in nomenclature, as the Ivaco E15 unit is saddled with the ridiculous full type number of F4AE0481VC. Got that There will be a short test later...
