emergency service drivers fight the drought, following a request from the Road Haulage Association.
In its letter to the Department of the Environment the RHA says that some hauliers are already providing trucks for use in drought stricken areas and_ more are likely to follow.
' The rules on drivers' hours allow for relaxation if there is an emergency situation.
Most likely to be exempted are emergency service drivers, especially those on bush fire control work.
