for application with electrostatic hand guns, is the latest addition to the range of Vulcan finishes manufactured by the industrial division of Blundell, Spence and Co., Ltd.
Until now it has been difficult to spray metallic paints with an electrostatic hand gun because of the rapid build-up of deposited metal in the paint feed line. This provided a path for the high-voltage electrostatic charge to leak away to earth. preventing the system from operating.
The new paint is claimed to have overcome this problem. It is a one-coat finish, and can be either air-dried (30 minutes) or staved (20 minutes at 240 deg. to 250 deg. F.).
At present the new paint is available only in silver grey, which dries to a semigloss finish.
