• Fife Scottish Bus Company has started a new midibus service in Kirkcaldy.
The company has bought 20 25-seater MCW Metrorider buses which will link Kirkcal dy's major housing estates with the town centre.
There will be no specific bus stops along the route as passengers will be allowed to board or alight at any safe point of the journey.
In the past week, one of the new rnidibuses has been turned into an "information bus", touring shopping precincts in the area to publicise the service.
