TO increase the operating efficiency of its 34-vehicle fleet of lorries, vans and cars, the London Borough of Bexley has introduced mobile radio equipment designed by Hudson Electronics Ltd., a Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd. subsidiary.
The vehicles are employed on a variety of municipal services over an area of some 50 square miles. Drivers of vehicles can contact control points or, in emergency, other vehicles by means of "talk-through" facilities.
