A TANKER semi-trailer with a Hen

drikson rubber-mounted rear bogie has been built by Fox Trailers, Ltd., Liverpool, 24. It has a capacity of 3,600 gal, and measures 24 ft. 6 in. long, giving an overall length when coupled to a Scammell tractor of 33 ft. 3 in. The coupling is of semi-automatic pattern with S.A.E. king-pin.

The tank was built for the transport of edible oils and has two compartments. The construction allows for a working pressure of 35 p.s.i. or a vacuum of 15 in. Steam heating is provided, and the tank is lagged. and sheathed with aluminium.

The brakes of the four-wheeled bogie may be operated by either singleor twoline air pressure, and the wheels are fitted with Michelin Metallic D20 tyres. The suspension is stated to be remarkably cp.Pet with the vehicle laden or unladen.

A. S. Jones and Co., Ltd., Liverpool. the operators, have placed repeat orders for four similar units. They will be used both in this country and on ferry services to the Continent.
