DUMPTRUKS IN DEMAND: Scottish Land Development, sole concessionnaire for the sale of A.E.C. Dumptruks in the U.K., has recently received orders from the civil engineering industry worth £78,000. The contracts are for A.E.C. Dumptruk 10-cu.yd., three-axle models.
RANGERS FOR EAST AFRICA: A repeat order for eight A.E.C. Ranger bus chassis has been placed by Uganda Co. (Africa) Ltd., of Kampala, The new vehicles, designed to operate at altitudes up to 4,000 ft. above sea level, will go into service with three Asian bus companies operating out of Kampala and will be fitted with locally constructed bodies.
PERKINS IN AMERICA: T.I.M.E. Freight Inc., one of the biggest operators in the U.S.A., has taken delivery of 12 White lorries powered by Perkins diesel engines. The delivery represents part of an order placed by T.I.M.E. Freight in 1962.
REPEAT ORDER FOR SOUTH AFRICA: Twenty more Scamtnell Himalayan 6 x 4 dutnp trucks have been ordered by the Cape Provincial Roads Administration of Soul! Africa. The chassis and engines only will be shipped C.K.D., cabs and body being fitter locally.
FOR GHANA HARBOUR WORKS: At order worth £70,000 has been placed b: Parkinson Howard (Ghana) Ltd. for 2: Albion Reiver RE25AT six-wheeler tippers They will be joining 12 similar Albion; already operating on work in connectim with extensions to Ghana's Tema harbour.
MORE LEYLANDS FOR LEICESTER. Leicester City Transport has ordered 21 Leyland Titan PD3A-1 double-deckers wort, £60,000. They will have 73-74 seater bodiet 15 being built by East Lancashire Coach builders Ltd. and five by Park Royu Vehicles Ltd.
GETTING THE TIMBER OUT: Fou Leyland Hippos ordered by the Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Ltd. will h used in the Borneo jungle. One will operat as a tractor and three will have Telehoi! tipping gear and 10 cu. yd. dumper botEt to carry road-building materials.
