DAMAGES of £200 and costs were awarded in the Queen's Bench Division last week against a woman who stepped in front of a bus in London, causing it to stop suddenly and injure a passenger on the upper deck. London Transport Executive, who were also sued by the plaintiff, were given judgment against her.
Mr. Justice Pilcher held that the pedestrian was solely to blame. She admitted that she did not look before stepping off a traffic island.
