EASTERN COUNTIES Omnibus Company has implemented a major overhaul of its Peterborough City bus services. Among the changes which are designed to reduce operating costs particularly on Sundays and in the evenings, is a new method of co-ordinating Sunday services.
Developed jointly by Eastern Counties, Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough Development Corporation the Sunday Rover network is based on all routes being covered once an hour and all buses arriving and departing at the city centre at the same time. Even though service frequency is low, an effective interchange is possible between all services.
