These are the lower levels of communication, and include verbal and written warnings.
When the employer gives a warning about misconduct, they are: • identifying a shortfall from standards; and II reinforcing that standard to make sure that the employee understands it, and knows the consequences of departure from it.
This is as true of an initial cautionary word with art employee as it is of a final written warning.
