-2-p on appeal • At Lincoln Crown Court there was an appeal by Machins Transport (Surfleet) Ltd haulage contractor, of Surfleet Bank Surfleet (Lines) against a conviction at East Elloe magistrates' court on a charge of using a lorry with inefficient indicators for which a £5 fine was imposed. It was stated for the company that the lights were working when the lorry left the depot but after an accident it was found the two rear indicator lamps had fused. The appeal was being made it was stated, because a conviction might have an adverse effect on the company when application was made for the renewal of its licence to the Licencing Authority. The appeal was dismissed but the fine was reduced from £5 to 14-p with no order as to costs,
