Ltd, Albion Industrial Estate, West Bromwich, Staffs, to a demonstration of the Multiloader demountable body system (CM February 11) and the Multilift body-to-ground equipment.
The Multilift is capable of lifting a body of 24 tons from the ground on to an adapted vehicle chassis. The Multilift equipment comprising the system includes a pto-driven hydraulic motor mounted at the front and between two side-members of a tipping sub-frame which is pivoted at the rear of the vehicle chassis. Two winches are mounted, one each side of the hydraulic motor outside the frame side-members. By raising the tipping sub-frame — the tipping gear mounted between the chassis members the body is made to slip groundward agai two cables, one from each winch, attache4 each side of the body.
