shortage, Mr. R. V. Brooks, managing director of Bedford Transport, Ltd., Walsall, drove one of the company's lorries, although he voluntarily gave up driving eight years ago as he suffered from occasional epileptic fits. At an inquest at Walsall on Tuesday, it was found that while driving the lorry he suffered an attack and died in the cab from asphyxia and reflex heart failure. Mr. Brooks was 35. The Coroner said that there was not only the danger, of an epileptic driver having a fit, but also that of his apparently coming round and driving in an unconscious state.
