• Three Scottish operators have combined resources to launch a tourist service called Goldcrest Tours.
Grampian Regional Transport, Tayside Public Transport and Mair's of Aberdeen are now offering tours to Spain, the Black Forest, Holland, the Isle of Man and many UK destinations.
Volvojonckheere P599s will be used on the tours, but Grampian Regional Transport says new vehicles may be brought in next year if the venture is a success. A Goldcrest logo has been designed but none of the coaches will be liveried before the end of 1989.
