• Tankclean, Tankfreight's network of tanker wash stations, has bought an independently-run station on Teeside and is building another in South Wales to give it eight depots.
In a 2300,000 investment it has taken over JL Robson of Haverton Hill, Cleveland. The new station in a greenfield site at Bagland Bay, near Swansea, will open early next year.
Both will have three cleaning bays and driver rest facilities. They join tankclean's other depots in Purfleet, Greenwich, Southampton, Felixstowe, Manchester and Widnes.
Tankclean is also relaunching a mobile vehicle wash service in the North East. A similar effort, in Southampton, flopped, but the company has opened a livery-washing bay at its Southampton depot.
