of Trans'''. port has elected as president for 1963-64 Mr. Keith Granville, member of the board of British Overseas Airways Corporation and chairman of B.O.A.C. Associated Companies Ltd. He will take office, replacing Mr. E. G. Whitaker. on October 1, 1963, and deliver ha presidential address on October 14.
Mr. Granville was admitted to associate membership of the Institute in 1944 and to membership in 1950. He was a member of the council from 1951 to 1954 and again from 1957 to 1960, and has been a vice-president since 1961.
Obituary
WE regret to record the deaths of M. " Paul Dehaynin, Mr. E. Kitchin and Mr. Kenneth Laing.
M. Dehaynin, recently appointed president directeur general of the Societe Francaise des Moteurs Perkins. the Perkins group's French subsidiary, died M Paris last week. M. Dehaynin, who was 46, joined Moteurs Perkins in 1955 as directeur general adjoint.
Mr. Kitchin, a co-founder of the Pudsey. Yorkshire, coach company of I, W. Kitchin and Sons, has died at the age of 59. The company was merged with Wallace Arnold Tours Ltd. four ears ago and Mr. Kitchin was later associated with Wallace Arnold's Bradford management.
Mr. Laing was for many years traffic manager of the Midland General Omnibus Co. Ltd. He was art associate member of the Institute of Transport and had been chairman of its East Midlands Section.
