A LONDON lorry driver was awarded S:100 out of public funds at the end of a five-day trial at Ipswich Crown Court of three men accused of conspiring to commit a robbery (CM. March 8).
The court heard that thanks to Desmond Ramsay, of Manor Park, London, Suffolk police were able to make ar
rests within an hour of a stolen lorry being spotted.
The three men were acquitted of the conspiracy charge, which they had denied.
Michael Croucher, of Bow, was fbund guilty of going equipped for theft at Levington in October last year and was jailed for three years.
