MANAGERS involved in the specialised field of distribution to the agricultural industry are most likely to benefit from a conference to be held later this month.
It is being organised by UKASTA, the United Kingdom Agricultural Supply Trade Association, and is designed to highlight and improve the physical distribution function in agriculture.
Topics to be covered include driver productivity, human and computer skills in vehicle scheduling, and distribution productivity. Among the speakers are Derek Bliss of United Agricultural Merchants, Dr John Hudson from Unilever International Management Consultants, and assistant director of the National Materials Handling Centre, Robert Williams.
The conference is on Thursday November 27 at the Waldorf Hotel, London, and costs £50 plus vat, or £65 plus vat for nonUKASTA members. Booking torms and further details are available from UKASTA, 3 Nhitehall Court, London SW1.
