BELGIAN TRAILER manufacturer STAS used Tip-Ex 2011 at Harrogate to introduce a fleet-spec movingfloor trailer with a steel chassis that is more competitive on price.
STAS is known for producing high-quality products that come at a price, says Graham MacMillan, director of the Clitheroe-based Stead-plan, the UK and Ireland agent for STAS.
The introduction of the fully galvanised steel chassis has allowed STAS to drop the asking price by 5%, says MacMillan, making it a more competitive trailer in the UK market, albeit with a 150kg weight penalty, which raises the kerb weight to 7,500kg.
“The new steel chassis gives customers improved operating capability with a keen purchase price as well,” he says.
“This is a practical, versatile, high-value addition to the range, which is carefully focused on the needs of the operators.”
