Equipment Leasing Co. Ltd. (ELCO) by Cranes (Dereham) Ltd. and Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd. to offer to selected customers, trailers, semi-trailers _ and related equipment under " financeleasing " plans worked out with ELCO.
These plans offer a simple means of buying trailers or other equipment out of revenue. In a typical transaction, a customer of Cranes specifies the units he requires, Cranes sells the vehicles to ELCO and ELCO leases them to the customer for minimum leasing periods of three, four or five years. Finance leasing differs from plant hire, which is a comprehensive rental service offered for short
periods and includes such things as maintenance. It compares favourably with hire purchase as it normally offers a longer term, at a lower rateof interest, and without a deposit.
For Automatic Coupling PAA TRACTIVE unit with Scarnmell automatic coupling gear and based on the Chieftain Super Six range has been introduced by Albion Motors Ltd. Known as the CH17TR the chassis closely resembles the existing ChieftainScammell unit but incorporates the E0.370 engine which has a net power output of 106 bhp. at 2,200 r.p.m.
