THE Minister of Transport has dismissed an appeal by Wainfieet Motor Services Ltd., of Nuneaton, against a decision by the West Midland Traffic Commissioners to grant a variation to the road service licence held by the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co. Ltd.
The variation authorized the company to operate an express carriage service between Birmingham and London via the MI, reducing the journey running time by l hours. The Minister felt there was no appreciable risk of abstraction of traffic and considered an experimental period unjustified.
