CONCRETE proposals for an immediatediate and complete amalgamation between the Yorkshire Stage Carriage Operators Association and the Yorkshi-e area of A.R.O. (which includes the Yorkshire Motor Coach. Owners organization) were considered at a meeting, in Leeds, this week, of the
executive committees concerned, At the time of going to press no decision had been announced, but there was every reason to anticipate that agreement to put the merger into operation forthwith would be reached.
Coincident with this meeting another was convened to discuss the wider plan of linking up associations in Yorkshire by means of a Yorkshire coinmittee.
An important development before this meeting was that the committee of the North-Eastern Division of the C.M.U.A. approved the principle of establishing a standing joint committee in Yorkshire as a means for liaison between the various associations in the county.
