• Hajgh Transport, of Blochairn, Glasgow, a W. B. Anderson Group subsidiary, was granted an 0 licence at Glasgow on Monday for two vehicles and nine trailers to be acquired. Mr H. S. Hamilton, assistant general manager, said that when application had been made earlier • for an A licence the firm did not also apply for an 0 licence and still had no vehicle in operation. It did not propose to buy until assured of an 0-licence grant.
As a member of a national fruit trade group it had excellent maintenance facilities, he said, including a mobile workshop.
Mr A. B. Birnie, Scottish LA, granted the application as asked for; as regards the expiry date of the licence, the applicant is being granted the next one on the LA's register.
