made possible by the use of the neat Vitex permanent pressure gauge, a device which is distributed by K. Emsley, Ltd., 22, Swaine Street, Bradford. Fitted in place of the usual valve cap, the Vitex gauge is set at a fixed pressure.
If the tyre be inflated to the proper level, depression of the plunger will cause a bubble to appear in a transparent plastic dome, but if the pressure be more than 10 per cent. below standard, the bubble does not appear and ii. is known that attention is neces sary For inflating, the connector is placed on the gauge, just as on the normal valve. Gauges are made for a range of pressures from 5 lb, to 150 lb.
