THE SECOND ScotMAP packag of service revisions to be mad by a Scottish Bus Group Co pany — this time Eastern Sco tish — is now going throug unopposed after an agreemen with the local authorities co cerned.
The first major ScotMAP rev sions — those by Central SM and Western SMT — vver granted after a battle wit Strathclyde Regional Council June (CM, June 13).
The ES revisions concern th services it operates in Border Region and Northumberlan and the corridor areas to an from Edinburgh. They are th first of six such packages to b introduced by the company.
Initial objections to certai specific aspects of the revisions principally from Borders Regia nal Council, were met followin discussions and agreement b ES that a number of amen ments to the proposals sho I be made. ft Although these amendmerj have altered the original est mates of savings the ScotMA package should achieve, th are described as signifificant both terms of mileage and cash The Scottish Traffic Comm sioners are now considering applications in chambers and i tend to issue a decision writing in the near future.
