Nixon's have brought out a development of their air-brake tester (CM "Keeping them running" September 17 1971). The new device does not include any equipment for checking electrical circuits as did the original nor does it have the capacity to have air tanks fitted — a direct supply of compressed air is required.
The later model is more compact, has five pressure gauges, an air-flow control and an air-pressure control. It is claimed that the device can check all vehicle braking components for leakage as well as warning-light calibration. Checks to trailer brakes are restricted by the size of the air connections on the unit.
