DUPLE COACHBUILDERS' managing director Dick West has been replaced, in the first major move since the Blackpool company was taken over by Hestair this year.
A statement was to be issued by Hestair chairman David Hargreaves after we closed for press this week, but Mr West's departure was common knowledge at the Scottish Show on Monday.
Hestair was expected to confirm that Peter Wragg, formerly with Volvo in the United States, had been recruited to run the coachbuilding company whose fortunes have declined in the recession.
Mr West was previously with Metsec, the body kit company which Duple bought from Tube Investments and which has been seen as one of the keys not only to Duple's salvation but also as a means of getting Hestair Dennis into more export markets.
