• Vauxhall has followed Ford's example by cutting the list price of its cars—but not its commercial vehicles.
A Vauxhall spokesman says the company's range of vans currently represents very good value for money; be adds that the decision not to include CVs H the price cuts has nothing to do with the Competition Commission's recent report Into UK pricing.
Many manufacturers have cut thousands of pounds off the price of their cars in the wake of the report, which said UK prices were 10% higher than other European countries. The report made no mention of CV prices.
Vauxhall's spokesman says UK packages and transaction prices mean that overall deals for CVs are competitive with those on the Continent. If the range does become uncompetitive the pricing structure will be reviewed, he adds.
