The flying Ford was spotted during the 1994 Network CI RAC Rally and, not surprisingly, it won. Driven by Gwyndaf Evans and Howard Davies the Escort RS2000 succeeded in the Formula Two category as the gruelling four-day event wound through Welsh forests. It was the vehicle's first outing in the World Rally Championship: a real flight to victory.
